Receiving revelation comes, at least in my case, when I have still and quiet moments. You cannot connect with heaven in a mass of clutter. You have to find those quiet moments in your life when you can contemplate the things of the Spirit.

It will take unshakable faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to choose the way to eternal life. It is by using that faith we can know the will of God. It is by acting on that faith we build the strength to do the will of God. And it is by exercising that faith in Jesus Christ that we can resist temptation and gain forgiveness through the Atonement.
The same power of an early choice to exercise faith and to be persistent in obedience applies to gaining the faith to resist temptation and to gain forgiveness. The best time to resist temptation is early. The best time to repent is now. —Elder Henry B. Eyring

We trust in the timing of the Lord, and, meanwhile, know that the days and years of righteous individuals will not be numbered less. But it is up to us “to be content with the things which the Lord hath allotted unto [us],” including the time allotted (Alma 29:3-4).
Neal A. Maxwell, One More Strain of Praise , p.11

“We can let the events that surround us determine our actions–or we can personally take charge and rule our lives, using as guidelines the principles of pure religion.” 🚀Marvin J. Ashton
