Effective faith is always connected with works, and it is only through this combination that we achieve.     Franklin D. Richards

Keep in mind that faith is a gift of God.     Franklin D. Richards

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1. )

We cannot know what faith is if we have never had it, and we cannot obtain it as long as we deny it. Faith and doubt cannot exist in the same mind at the same time, for one will dispel the other.    Thomas S. Monson

When our faith is not kept radiant by good works, [we] will be tempted to lower [our] ideals to the level of [our] conduct. This is retrogression.      Hugh B. Brown

Faith is related to the future-to the unknown where we have not yet walked.   Howard W. Hunter

Faith is the motivating force in our lives.    Henry D. Moyle

Jesus said, “. . . all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23.) We don’t always understand that faith is the moving cause of all action. It is not only the chief pillar of success, it is also its very foundation.   Sterling W. Sill

And now as I said concerning faith-faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true. (Alma 32:17-18, 21.)

I would show the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith. (Ether 12:6.)

In faith we plant the seed, and soon we see the miracle of the blossoming. Men have often misunderstood and have reversed the process. They would have the harvest before the planting, the reward before the service, the miracle before the faith. Even the most demanding labor unions would hardly ask the wages before the labor. But many of us would have the vigor without the observance of the health laws, prosperity through the opened windows of heaven without the payment of our tithes. We would have the close communion with our Father without fasting and praying; we would have rain in due season and peace in the land without observing the Sabbath and keeping the other commandments of the Lord. We would pluck the rose before planting the roots; we would harvest the grain before its planting and cultivating.       Spencer W. Kimball

But, behold, faith cometh not by signs, but signs follow those that believe. (D. & C. 63:9.)

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house. (Heb. 11:7.)

As yet there was no evidence of rain and flood. His people mocked and called him a fool. His preaching fell on deaf ears. His warnings were considered irrational. There was no precedent; never had it been known that a deluge could cover the earth. How foolish to build an ark on dry ground with the sun shining and life moving forward as usual! But time ran out. The ark was finished. The floods came. The disobedient and rebellious were drowned. The miracle of the ark followed the faith manifested in its building.        Spencer W. Kimball

I am the Editor and Founder of https://principlesneverfail.us/ a blog dedicated to principle centered personal development. The social, intellectual, physical, and spirtual challenges facing individuals and the communities in which we live in 2020 and beyond will require the best that is within us. True principles anchor us to the truths previously discovered. We can move forward into the future with confidence on the correct path if we do not forsake the truths we already know. My over 50 year quest has been to discover true principles and seek to understand and strive to apply them in my life. My hope is that some of what I have found may be of value to my family, friends, and to you.
